Установка МОДа приводила к ошибке, о чем писАли администраторы сервера:
на момент остановки вебсервисов в mysql было около 300 заблокированных запросов к базе <название-базы данных>.
Запросы накладывались друг на друга и заблокированные висели до 40 минут, вероятно из-за того что часто запросы на выборку данных совмещались с вводом новых данных в таблицу.
Проблема решилась правкой в коде "viewtopic.php" в корневом каталоге форума.
